Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Description

• Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment.
• Must have at least 2+ years of recent RRT experience.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Work involves floating across all hospital units including ED, ICU, OB, Med-Surg, etc.
• Experience in a rural hospital setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Average treatments per day vary seasonally:

  • Warmer months: 10-20 treatments/day
  • Colder months: 15-30 treatments/day

Schedule & Shifts

• 12-hour shifts:

  • Days: 0600-1830
  • Nights: 1800-0630
  • Mids (weekends only): 1200-0030
• Set schedules with some variation depending on weekend assignments.
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend per month (night shifts on Sat/Sun nights).
• Call duty: RTs take call with 20-25 on-call spots monthly (mostly weekends), 6-hour slots; each therapist expected to sign up for at least 2 spots.
• Holidays: Work scheduled days; day off requests possible but not guaranteed.

Required Qualifications

• Current Arizona state license for Respiratory Care (RRT or CRT).
• National license in Respiratory Care (RRT or CRT).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.

Additional Information

• EMR systems used: Meditech, Cardioserver.
• Scrub color: Wine.
• 3x12 hour shifts, including nights.

This position is ideal for a respiratory therapist with solid clinical experience, appropriate certifications, and prior travel experience looking for a mid-length travel assignment in a rural hospital setting.
