Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Cook, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Setting:

• Outpatient (95%)
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) (1-2%)
• Acute Care (3%)

Job Description

• Work primarily outpatient with some inpatient, swing bed, and nursing home resident care.
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics, including ortho, neuro, MS, Parkinson’s, high school injuries, work-related injuries, sports rehabilitation, wound care, and more.
• Typical caseload: 8-14 patients per day.
• Must be able to perform thorough evaluations and daily documentation (charting after each treatment, not blocked at the end of the day).
• Must have good time management skills and be well-rounded.
• Prefer candidates with manual therapy skills.
• Rehab aides and PTAs available to assist.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 1-hour lunch break (30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid)
• Manager sets the schedule
• Hours of operation: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• No specific scrub color required; casual professional attire acceptable

Required Qualifications

• Minnesota PT License (can submit with pending license)
• AHA BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist (outside of clinicals)
• Outpatient experience required
• First-time travelers accepted; prior travel experience not required

Additional Notes

• Minnesota is not a PT Compact State.
• Must be able to quickly adapt and "jump in" to the role.
