Description
Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT)
Location: Cook, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Setting:
- Outpatient (95%)
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) (1-2%)
- Acute Care (3%)
Job Description
- Work primarily outpatient with some inpatient, swing bed, and nursing home resident care.
- Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics, including ortho, neuro, MS, Parkinson’s, high school injuries, work-related injuries, sports rehabilitation, wound care, and more.
- Typical caseload: 8-14 patients per day.
- Must be able to perform thorough evaluations and daily documentation (charting after each treatment, not blocked at the end of the day).
- Must have good time management skills and be well-rounded.
- Prefer candidates with manual therapy skills.
- Rehab aides and PTAs available to assist.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 1-hour lunch break (30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid)
- Manager sets the schedule
- Hours of operation: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- No specific scrub color required; casual professional attire acceptable
Required Qualifications
- Minnesota PT License (can submit with pending license)
- AHA BLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist (outside of clinicals)
- Outpatient experience required
- First-time travelers accepted; prior travel experience not required
Additional Notes
- Minnesota is not a PT Compact State.
- Must be able to quickly adapt and "jump in" to the role.
