Job Opportunity: CVICU Registered Nurse

Location: Camden, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Float within 5 hospitals within skillset as needed
• Block scheduling NOT allowed
• Required to pass Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing (only 2 attempts allowed; must be taken on a PC, not iOS devices)
• Navy blue scrubs required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years CVICU experience
• Open heart recovery experience (directly from the OR) required
• Experience with balloon pumps, LVADs, Impella devices, and ECMO required

Required Certifications & Skills

• ACLS (AHA or ARC only)
• BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting experience
• EOW/EOH (Every Other Weekend/Every Other Holiday) availability required

Prior Travel Experience

• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Required Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Jersey

Additional Requirements

• Pass Dysrhythmia competency test within 72 hours of contract signing (two attempts max)
• Background check (7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
• Drug screening (10 panel, excluding THC, updated annually)
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Annual flu vaccination or approved exemption
• Visual acuity 20/40 or better
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation
• Required documentation: I9, government-issued photo ID, E-Verify, references, employment application, skills checklist, work history verification (minimum 1 year prior to start date)
• Local candidates within 50 miles receive a lower pay rate (informational only)

Scheduling & Work Environment

• Must be willing to float between multiple hospital locations within the system
• No block scheduling allowed
• Navy blue scrubs required

This position is ideal for experienced CVICU RNs with strong cardiac ICU skills, including advanced device experience, who are comfortable working in a dynamic hospital system with multiple locations.
