Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Must float to all inpatient units
Unit Size: 37 beds
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Patient Population: Surgical patients with telemetry needs, including bariatrics, trauma, plastics, urology, and general surgery
Equipment: Specialty bariatric beds, wound vacs, prevena vacs, Baxter IV Pumps
EHR Systems: Omnicell, Cerner

Required Qualifications

Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
Required Certifications: BLS or BCLS
Required Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med-Surg with telemetry experience
Must have skills in telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Preferred Experience: Bariatric nursing experience preferred
Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Additional Information

High patient turnover due to surgical population
Ultrasound IV Team available 7 AM to 10 PM for IV assistance
Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
