Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry II (Travel)

Location: Prestonsburg, Kentucky
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced RN Telemetry II for a travel assignment. The unit is expanding and requires a nurse with at least 2 years of current experience. The nurse will work with 1:5 or 1:6 patient ratios and use Meditech EMR. Orientation is bi-weekly. Candidates must reside within 100 miles of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years in specialty (Telemetry RN)
• Licensure: Valid Kentucky RN license or compact license accepted for Kentucky
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association, front and back of certificate if not electronic)
  • ACLS (Required for all RNs except Psych and certain Med/Surg units)
  • NIH Certification (Required for RN specialties except OR and Psych)
• Immunizations & Health Requirements:

  • Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer (with follow-up dosing if needed)
  • Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal, October-March) or approved medical/religious exemption
  • Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer
  • Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years; declinations accepted)
  • TB Quantiferon blood test within one year prior to start
  • Annual physical or physician note stating clear to work without restrictions (signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP)
• Other Requirements:

  • Nursing license verification through Nursys within 30 days of start
  • Must complete ARH Employee Health Attestation Form and register on employee health file system
  • Must submit assignment confirmation within 24 hours of offer acceptance
  • Must have 2 professional references (1 charge or higher, 1 supervisor) within the last year
  • Background check and drug screen within 30 days of start, with annual updates required
  • Completion of ARH-specific competencies and exams including:

    • Skills Checklist
    • Competency Exam
    • Core Competencies (HIPAA, Safety, Infection Control, etc.)
    • EKG and Telemetry Exam specific to scope of practice
• Additional:

  • Must reside within 100 miles of the facility to be considered
  • Start date on job is the start date needed
