Required Qualifications

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (X-Ray Tech)
  • Years of experience: Minimum 1 year (based on "1YR/1ST TIMERS OK")
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
  • License: Must hold a valid license for Radiology Technologist (RT) as per state requirements
  • Certifications (must be current and from approved organizations):
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
    • Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (if applicable)
    • IV Certification (if applicable)

    • NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)
  • Competencies: Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
  • Color Blind Testing: May be required on a unit-by-unit basis (must score 80% or higher if required)

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Fit Mask: Required for travel candidates; must be updated annually
  • Immunizations/Vaccinations:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination acceptable)
    • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 12 months; annual updates required)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination acceptable
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination acceptable
    • Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (9/1–3/30); declination acceptable
    • COVID Vaccine or Declination required
  • Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)

Background & Compliance

  • Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
  • Education Verification: Required for all candidates
  • References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years from supervisors
  • Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
  • State-specific searches and attestations as applicable (Oregon and Washington requirements)

Facility & System Requirements

  • Must complete required WorkRamp modules prior to start (including regulatory, specialty-specific, and regional modules)
  • Epic charting system training and transcript required prior to moving to productive work status
  • Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)
  • Float Policy Acknowledgement required (may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance)

  • This position does not require weekend or block scheduling but does require on-call availability once per month.
  • The schedule is expected to be primarily day to mid-shift with 4/10 hour shifts.
