Job Opportunity: Radiology Tech (Diagnostic Imaging)

Location: State College, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging examinations
• Explain procedures and respond to patient questions
• Perform diagnostic radiological procedures as ordered by physicians
• Assist Radiologist and Fluoro Tech during fluoroscopic and special procedures
• Operate CR, Fluoro, and DR imaging equipment safely and efficiently
• Administer IV and oral contrast media as needed
• Maintain radiation safety practices consistent with ALARA standards
• Perform clerical duties related to imaging workflow and quality assurance

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year

Additional Information

• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work in various hospital departments including Emergency, Operating Room, PACU, and Nursing
• Use of proper sterile technique during procedures in the Operating Room
• Ability to document patient information accurately in PACS
