    Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech (Surgical Services)

    Location: Seattle, Washington
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Details

    • Specialty: Surgical Services
    • Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Mids 1100-2330)
    • Weekend Requirement: Yes, as needed
    • Call Requirement: Yes, 3 weeknight call shifts per 4-week schedule and 2 - 24hr weekends per month (total 5 call shifts)
    • Floating: Yes, within hospital only (no floating to sister hospitals)
    • Block Schedule: Not open to block scheduling
    • Locals Accepted: Yes
    • Pending License Accepted: No
    • Return to Office Restrictions: 1 week max

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years in specialty
    • First-timers: Not accepted (prior experience required)
    • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required
    • Preferred Experience: Experience with Neuro, Spine, Thoracic, and Vascular cases is a plus
    • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

    Work Environment

    • High acuity, busy academic environment
    • Patient population includes Orthopedic sports (limited total joints), minimally invasive arthroscopic and laparoscopic cases, Robotics, General Surgery, GYN, Urology, and Plastics
    • Average daily census: 50-75 patients
    • Rooms: 28

    Required Licenses & Certifications

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
    • Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM) – check unit-specific requirements
    • Primary source verification of state license required
    • Washington state license required (pending licenses not accepted)

    Compliance & Background Checks

    • 7-year criminal background check required within 45 days of start
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search, and Washington State WATCH background checks required
    • Education verification required for applicable roles
    • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen required (not facility-mandated but required by agency)

    Health & Immunization Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start
    • Fit mask test within 9-12 months of start (3M N95 preferred; PAPR available onsite if needed)
    • TDAP vaccine within last 10 years
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility guidelines
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
    • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or declination required (vaccines alone not sufficient)
    • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (history of disease not accepted at this facility)
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination required during flu season
    • COVID vaccination or declination required for tracking

    Additional Notes

    • Scrub color: Any (scrubs provided)
    • Charting system: EPIC
    • Parking: Available (daily fee applies)
    • Performance evaluation may be requested at end of assignment
    • Radiation badges not provided by agency for new candidates; must be supplied by facility if needed

    This position is ideal for experienced CVOR Techs seeking a travel contract in a high-volume, academic surgical environment with diverse case types.
