Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position
Location: Springfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Provide inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.
- Work in a facility accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
- Facility features include:
- Brain-injury unit with monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, dedicated therapy space and dining area
- Dedicated stroke care unit with specialized equipment
- Gymnasiums with high-tech therapy devices and treatments
- Private, family-friendly rooms with sleeper chairs
- Special apartment for practicing daily living tasks
- Pet therapy and recreational programs
- Outdoor healing garden and walking trail
Position Details
- Discipline: Physical Therapist (PT)
- Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Call Requirements: None
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, pediatrics (13 years and older)
- Patient Ratios: 7 to 1
- Equipment Used: EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, Body weight support
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): UDS and Epic
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in inpatient rehab or skilled nursing settings
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, work ethic, and responsibility
- No specific certifications required
