Job Opportunity: RN (Registered Nurse) – OB/L&D

Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years OB/L&D experience (including Postpartum and Pediatrics)
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Active Minnesota RN license
  • BLS (AHA) required
  • ACLS (AHA) required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
  • PALS preferred
• Other Requirements:

  • EPIC experience required (or familiarity with other EMR systems)
  • Ability to float to Med-Surg and Tele units as needed
  • Must be able to work in Labor, Postpartum, Nursery, and Pediatrics areas

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour day/night rotation, every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays
• Patient Care:

  • Care for postpartum, stable antepartum, pediatric patients, newborns, GYN, Med-Surg overflow
  • May serve as 2nd RN in Special Care Nursery (SCN)
• Patient Ratios:

  • 1:3 mom/baby couplets
  • 1:5 GYN/Med-Surg patients
  • 1:3-4 pediatrics
• Typical Census:

  • Average 5 couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 labor, 4 SCN patients
• Support Staff:

  • Ward clerk (7am-7pm)
  • CNA (Tues-Thurs)
  • Charge Nurse/Circulator, Resource Nurse, LPN Scrub Nurse (without assignments)

Orientation & Training

• Equipment and unit orientation provided on first day
• Must badge in and out at facility
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Additional Notes

• Must be willing to float primarily as helping hands and occasionally take Med-Surg patients
• Variable shifts including weekends; assists with schedule coverage for onboarding, vacancies, and FMLA coverage
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
