Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) (Nights)

Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 8 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Apply the nursing process to patient care.
  • Teach patients and their significant others.
  • Document patient care in the medical record.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU/Telemetry/Stepdown) experience.
  • Acute care hospital experience is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an active Oregon RN license.
  • Certifications do not need to be active at time of submission but must be willing to obtain.
  • Skills checklist specific to the RN discipline is required.
  • Resume submission is required.

Additional Information

  • 16 hours of unbillable time expected.
  • Overtime paid at 1.25x the base rate.
  • Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 weeks.
