Job Opportunity: RN - Oncology (Travel)

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Specialty: Med-Surg/Oncology
Setting: Acute Care, Level III Trauma Center
Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week)
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: All inpatient areas
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Patient Population: Adult oncology and med-surg patients
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Cancer, Diabetes Mellitus (DM), Pneumonia (PNA), General Surgery
Equipment Used: Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps
Electronic Health Records (EHR): Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR
Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
Required Certifications: BCLS or BLS required; Chemotherapy Certification preferred but NOT required
Required Years of Experience in Specialty: 2 years
Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Work Environment: Teaching hospital with Joint Commission Accreditation
Focus on relationship-based care and flexibility in scheduling
