Specialty: Dementia with Behavioral Disturbances
Unit: Behavioral Health Geriatric
Patient Population: Geriatric (50+)
Number of Beds: 24
Patient Ratio: 1:7
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: 24
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: None
EHR System: Medhost

Required Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of experience in dementia patient care or behavioral health nursing
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) or equivalent behavioral health certification
Experience working with dementia patients, especially those with behavioral disturbances

Additional Information

Must have experience with dementia patients
Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to assignment start
Dress Code: Solid color scrubs; facial piercings are not allowed
Personality Fit: Calm demeanor and ability to work well with others
