Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor Pool
Location: Albany, Georgia
Contract Length: 17 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Labor Pool (Med/Surg focus)
- Shift: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts starting at 06:45
- Typical Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call Requirement: On call during low census
- Holidays: Rotate with permanent staff
- Floating: Yes, must be flexible with changing assignments during the shift
- Orientation: Floor-specific orientation provided
- Common Patient Types: Med/Surg nurses float to Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
- Additional Unit Details:
- ICU/ED nurses float to Cardiology, ICU, and ED
- Telemetry monitored on different units
- Ventilator support includes BIPAP, CPAP (only at HS), vapotherm, Draeger
- IV Team available (including PICC lines)
- Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
- Pharmacy available 24/7
- Charge nurse present on all units
- Nurse aides/CNAs available with ratios generally 1:8 or 1:10, sometimes 1:1 or sitters
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS Certification (required)
- ACLS, ASLS, NIHSS certifications preferred depending on unit (e.g., ICU/ED requires ACLS, ASLS, NIHSS; Med/Surg requires BLS, ASLS or NIHSS)
Required Experience
- Minimum 4 years of nursing experience without prior travel experience
OR - Minimum 2 years of nursing experience plus completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment
Additional Requirements
- Must be flexible with changing assignments during shifts
- Must comply with a strict 75-mile radius rule for commuting
- No return to office (RTO) approved before May 3rd
- Interview process includes one interview with a Medical Solutions RN; no second interview required

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg RNs who are adaptable and comfortable floating across multiple units within a hospital setting. Prior travel experience is required if you have less than 4 years of total nursing experience.
