Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Travel

Job Details

Unit: Inpatient Rehabilitation
Unit Size: 20 beds
Staffing: 54 total staff including RNs, techs, managers, PT, OT, ST, therapy techs
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 2-3 RNs, 1 tech
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 2-3 RNs, 1 tech
Patient Ratios: 4-6 patients per therapist
Equipment Used: Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, rollators, NuStep, light gait trainers, hospital beds, bed/chair alarms, oxygen tanks, pulse oximeters, blood pressure machines
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Typical Procedures

Occupational Therapy evaluations
Daily treatments

Schedule

Preferred schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, day shifts
Possible alternating weekends
Floating to acute care or outpatient settings may be required

Required Qualifications

Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
OTR certification

Additional Information

Dress code: Standard navy blue scrubs
Unit policies include attendance, certification verification, equal employment opportunity, anti-harassment, and respectful workplace policies
