Job Opportunity: L&D RN (Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse)

Location: Winslow, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM), every other week, 3 shifts per week (3x12-hour shifts)
Start Date: August 11

Job Description

• Work in a small hospital in Northern Arizona on a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit, caring for patients from labor through discharge.
• Night shift position with nursery experience required.
• No high-risk deliveries; all deliveries are 36+ weeks gestation.
• Manage diabetic and drug/alcohol-affected mothers.
• Stabilize infants and provide infant care during C-sections (no circulating required).
• Ability to multitask and care for more than one laboring patient simultaneously.
• Special care or high-risk infants are transported out of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience, including postpartum, mother-baby, and nursery care.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• Ability to stabilize infants and perform infant care during deliveries.

Additional Information

• 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours each).
• Hospital housing is available (optional).
• Rural location, ideal for a winter assignment.
