Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts every other week (EOW)
- Unit: Pre-Screen Unit (clinical fit determined by clinical team and manager interview)
- Floating: As needed
- Weekends: Every other week
- Call: None
- Holidays: As needed
- Patient Population: May care for COVID patients
- Facility Environment: Tobacco and fragrance free
Required Experience & Skills
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Minimum Experience: 2 years in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- EPIC experience required
Required Licenses & Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania
- Primary source online license verification required
- NURSYS verification required for RN license
Required Certifications & Competencies
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – may be required depending on unit
- Other certifications such as PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification may be required based on unit/job description
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM checks within 30 days of start
- PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
- Child Abuse History Clearance (PA Childline Search) required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
- Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts required
- Employment application and recent resume required
- 2 professional references within 3 years required
- Skills checklist required annually
- Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles) – 2 doses or positive titer
- Mumps – 2 doses or positive titer
- Rubella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Hepatitis B – positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
- Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination accepted
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (requirement for agency only, not facility)
- Respiratory safety clearance required within 1 year and renewed annually

- Hepatitis B declination form if applicable
- Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
- Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules assigned by facility (required for RNs)
- New Hire Orientation required by end of first day
Additional Information
- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
- Tobacco and fragrance free environment; candidates must be notified prior to submission
This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with at least 2 years in the specialty, EPIC experience, and the ability to work night shifts on a travel contract basis in Pennsylvania.
