Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract

Location: York, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Schedule: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 7:15)
• Weekend shifts every other week (EOW) and holidays as needed
• Floating may be required, including possible float to rehab unit
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (highest requirement)
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
• Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) & Basic Life Support (BLS)
• EPIC electronic health record experience required

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• NIHSS certification
• Additional certifications may be required based on unit/job description (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
• FBI fingerprinting (PA) required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
• Employment verification and education verification required
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
• Child Abuse Clearance (PA Childline) required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Hepatitis B (full vaccine series or positive titer)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titers with boosters as needed
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters as needed
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted
• Seasonal flu vaccination or valid medical/religious exemption required annually
• COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination accepted
• Respiratory Safety clearance required annually

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years
• Most recent resume/application required
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable (e.g., medication, dysrhythmia/EKG)
• Photo for badge (passport-style, professional appearance)
• Completion of facility-specific documents including code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, and health & wellness commitments
• Completion of online Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start
• New hire orientation required by end of first day

Notes

• No scheduling requests may be approved
• Return to office (RTO) maximum 7 days, no RTO over 7 days allowed
• Clinical screening and manager interview required prior to final approval

This position is ideal for Registered Nurses with at least 2 years of experience, comfortable working night shifts in a tele/medical-surgical setting, and who have EPIC experience. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
