Number of Beds: 15 (6 L&D, 9 Postpartum)
Patient Population: Adults and Newborns
Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN Standards
Equipment: Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter Pumps, Masimo Monitors, GE Centricity Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Centricity/MEDHOST

Required Qualifications

License: Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) — must be obtained within 60 days of start
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery specialty
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Skills & Experience

Must have experience with:
- Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (SVD) — no VBAC
- Cesarean section care
- OB triage
- Nonstress testing
- Postpartum and nursery care, including newborn procedures
- Management of hemorrhages
- Fetal monitoring and interventions
- Management of pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, and hypertensive crisis patients
Common diagnoses and treatments encountered:
- Antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum care
- Pre-eclampsia
- Cesarean section
- Inductions
- Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia
