Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Pomona, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00-17:00 or 07:30-17:30
- Average Daily Cases: 7-15
- Call Requirement: Yes
- 5 weekday nights and 1 full weekend every 6 weeks (7 shifts in a 6-week schedule)
- Work Locations: May float between Mainland & Atlantic City campuses as needed
- Experience Required:
- Interventional Radiology (IR), Scrub, and Special Procedures experience required
- Hybrid OR experience desired
- Certifications/Licenses:
- ACLS, BLS, and New Jersey License (can be obtained prior to start) required
- ARRT VI certification preferred
- Uniform and Parking: Provided upon arrival
Required Experience
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Minimum Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated, but IR, Scrub, and Special Procedures experience required (implies relevant experience in interventional radiology)

Certifications and Competencies
- Mandatory Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA certified
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA certified
- NJ Radiology Tech License and ARRT certification required for Radiology Techs
- Preferred Certifications:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) for RRTs if applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification for RNs in certain units
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) for ER unit RNs
- Competency Exams:
- Pass/Fail “In House Skills Assessment” during orientation (failure may result in contract cancellation)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for nurses except OR and Case Managers)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (for ED/ER, Tele, Adult critical care)
- Core Mandatories/Inservice Training with testing (annual updates required)
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Background Checks:
- 7-year search within 30 days of start
- Includes SS Trace, Aliases, National, Statewide, Counties, FACIS Level 3, National Sex Offender
- Education verification required
- International search if lived outside the US in last 7 years
- Licenses and Verifications:
- NJ License primary source verification within 30 days of start
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Required vaccinations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Flu seasonal vaccination required (declinations not accepted except approved medical/religious exemptions)
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 60 days of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (not required for Lab Techs or Sterile Processing Techs)
- Other Required Documents:
- I9 or attestation confirming work eligibility in the US
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify or attestation confirming work eligibility
- Signed HIPAA statement and orientation acknowledgements
- Skills checklist and performance evaluations as applicable
- References: 2 current references from supervisors or educators within past 2 years
- Work history documenting 2 years of recent, relevant experience

- Call is a requirement with a specific schedule every 6 weeks.
- Hybrid OR experience is desired but not mandatory.

- Floating between campuses may be required.
