Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry (Nights)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
• OT/Holiday pay multiplier: 1.15x
• Call back pay multiplier: 1.5x with 2-hour minimum
• On-call pay: $9/hr
• Charge/Precept pay: $6/hr
• Required to float across multiple campuses within the system
• Patient types include CABG, ICD, Pacemaker, cardiac drips, vascular surgicals
• Patient ratios: Days 1:4, Nights 1:6
• Unit size: 24 beds
• Drips include Nitro, Cardene, Heparin, Diltiazem, Dopamine, etc.
• Telemetry tech unit monitoring
• Scrubs: Navy blue, solids

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of recent Telemetry/Cardiac nursing experience
• Experience with patient populations: CABG, ICD, Pacemaker, cardiac drips, vascular surgicals
• Cardiac rhythm experience required
• Experience with drip/titration medications
• Experience with equipment: Alaris IV pump, wound vac
• EMR experience with EPIC required
• Active Iowa RN license at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or ARC
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract within the last 18 months (no first-time travelers accepted)

This position is ideal for experienced Telemetry RNs with strong cardiac skills and prior travel nursing experience.
