Job Opportunity: RN Operating Room (OR)
Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
- Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical exam, and diagnostic data.
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team members while managing urgent or emergent situations.
- Provide nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and physician’s medical plans.
- Complete Safe Surgery checklist using service excellence standards.
- Accurately and timely document all care information.
- Use appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff, including duties within or outside the sterile field.
- Prepare the operating room and position patients for procedures.
- Serve as communication liaison to family and operating team members.
- Participate in professional growth through goal setting and educational offerings.
- Assist in supply and equipment control and maintenance.
- Perform circulating duties efficiently and quickly.
- Participate in assigned call as scheduled.
- Utilize computer programs relevant to patient care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for South Carolina.
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- Health Requirements:
- Proof of MMR immunizations or titer with lab results (no declinations accepted).
- Proof of Hepatitis B vaccinations or titer with lab results (no declinations accepted).
- Proof of Varicella immunizations or titer with lab results (no declinations accepted).
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) testing within required timeframes or negative Q-Gold/Tspot.
- Influenza vaccine required September through April (medical/religious exemptions considered case-by-case).
- Other Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
- Social Security Card.
- Criminal background check covering last 7 years, including multiple federal and state databases, completed within 60 days of start.
- Employment verification for the past 5 years.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (rapid drug screen not accepted).
- Completion of clinical skills checklist prior to start, updated annually.
- Resume or professional profile submission required.
