Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry I (Travel)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition appropriately.
- Coordinate care across all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Follow physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
- Use personal protective equipment following Standard Precautions.
Required Qualifications
- License: Current RN license in Oklahoma with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association) required.
- NIH Certification (updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group).
- Exams & Testing:
- Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
- Specialty Exam in Telemetry (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
- EKG Exam (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
- Core Competencies Exam (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc., minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
- Skills Checklist (completed within one year of start, updated annually).
- Cerner Test-Out (if applicable).
- Health & Immunizations:
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted.
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season; exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
- Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccines; no declinations accepted.
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
- TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire.
- Fit Test for respiratory protection (updated annually).
- 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Background & Verification:
- Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days prior to start; updated annually.
- Employment Verification for past 7 years.
- Education Verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start.
- Professional References: At least two completed prior to first assignment.
- Other Requirements:
- Driver’s License/State ID valid and matching address requirements.
- Resume/Profile submission.
- Confirmation of Assignment documentation.
- Badge Photo (white or blue background, no alterations).
