Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry I (Travel)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition appropriately.
• Coordinate care across all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Follow physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
• Use personal protective equipment following Standard Precautions.

Required Qualifications

• License: Current RN license in Oklahoma with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association) required.
  • NIH Certification (updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group).
• Exams & Testing:

  • Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
  • Specialty Exam in Telemetry (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
  • EKG Exam (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
  • Core Competencies Exam (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc., minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
  • Skills Checklist (completed within one year of start, updated annually).
  • Cerner Test-Out (if applicable).
• Health & Immunizations:

  • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted.
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination.
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season; exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
  • Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccines; no declinations accepted.
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
  • TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire.
  • Fit Test for respiratory protection (updated annually).
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
  • Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
• Background & Verification:

  • Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days prior to start; updated annually.
  • Employment Verification for past 7 years.
  • Education Verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start.
  • Professional References: At least two completed prior to first assignment.
• Other Requirements:

  • Driver’s License/State ID valid and matching address requirements.
  • Resume/Profile submission.
  • Confirmation of Assignment documentation.
  • Badge Photo (white or blue background, no alterations).
