Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech - Surgical Services

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 5x8 hour day shifts
• Call: Heavy call requirements with a 30-minute call range. Two CVOR Certified Surgical Technicians, a First Assistant (FA), and two CVOR RNs are on call daily, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of experience as a CVOR Certified Surgical Technician with general OR and trauma experience.
• Prior Travel Experience: Required. First-time travelers will not be accepted.

Required Qualifications

• CVOR Certified Surgical Technician license/certification.
• At least 5 years of specialty experience in CVOR, general OR, and trauma.
• Prior travel experience required.
• Ability to handle heavy call responsibilities.

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable.
• Other certifications as applicable to the profession and specialty.

Background and Health Requirements

• 7-year background check including SS trace and county searches for all locations lived/worked/schooled.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year of start date; chest X-ray within 60 days if applicable.
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March).

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters).
• Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be completed prior to start.
• Annual skills checklist as per agency standards.
• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start.

Summary

This is a travel contract position for an experienced CVOR Certified Surgical Technician with at least 5 years of specialty experience and prior travel experience. The role requires heavy call coverage and adherence to strict background, health, and certification requirements. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks with day shifts.
