Job Description

• Post Surgical Orthopedic Inpatient RN role
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Facility preference: 2-3 years of experience in orthopedic nursing
• Must be legally authorized to work in Ohio

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Ohio
• 2-3 years of orthopedic nursing experience preferred (facility preference)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA only) required for all RNs except some specific areas (not applicable here)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only) required
• Other certifications as applicable (PALS, NRP, CNOR) are preferred but not required for this role
• Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine within 30 days of start
• Immunizations and health requirements including:

  • Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray clearance
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or booster vaccine
  • Hepatitis B series or declination
  • Varicella immunity or booster vaccine
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (strict deadline applies)
• Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• Criminal background check within 1 year, including multiple levels of screening
• Valid government-issued photo ID required and must be carried on assignment
• Completion of facility-specific documents and attestations prior to start
• 2 professional references required, including at least 1 from the most recent employer
• Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting similar to the assignment
• Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted
• Facility does not require BCI & FBI fingerprinting
• Radiation badges will be issued if applicable
• Flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption is mandatory with strict compliance deadlines
