    Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Acute Care Hospital

    Location: Santa Rosa, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Summary

    Seeking an Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting. The position involves working 8-hour shifts, Sunday through Thursday, starting at 7:30 AM. Floating between similar units may be required.


    Required Qualifications

    • Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Occupational Therapy)
    • Experience: Minimum 1 year of specialty experience (first-timers accepted)
    • Certifications: Manual Therapy, Hand Therapy
    • Licensure: Must hold a valid Occupational Therapy license for California (state license required)
    • Orientation: 16 hours
    • Prior Travel Experience: Not required

    • Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
    • Total Staffed Beds: 277
    • Charting System: Epic
    • Scrub Color: Any solid color except royal blue
    • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
    • Locals accepted; pending licenses not accepted

    Schedule & Floating

    • Shift: 8 hours, 7:30 AM start, Sunday through Thursday
    • Floating: Yes, may float between like units
    • Block scheduling: Available at manager discretion

    Required Compliance & Documentation

    • Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • Drug Screen: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
    • Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations/Vaccinations:
      • TDAP (within 10 years or declination)
      • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
      • Hepatitis B (vaccination series or signed declination)
      • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
      • Flu Vaccine (required during flu season or declination)
      • COVID Vaccine or Declination
    • Fit Mask Test: Required for travel candidates, updated annually
    • Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required for travel candidates, updated annually
    • References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
    • Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
    • Skills Checklist: Required and must be updated annually

    Training & Modules

    • Completion of required WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
      • Regulatory Requirements (annual)
      • Specialty Specific Modules (if applicable)
      • Epic Access Training (if applicable)

    Additional Notes

    • Pending licenses are not accepted
    • Floating policy acknowledgment required
    • Free parking available
    • Must submit Return to Office (RTO) restrictions at time of submission
