Description
Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Napa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts, start time between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Rotated weekends, only on weekends from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Rooms: 2
- Start Date: ASAP
- First Time Traveler: Yes, open to first-time travelers
- Required Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
- License Requirement: California state license preferred; pending license accepted
- Return to Office Restrictions: No more than 7 days

Required Qualifications
- Valid California Radiation Therapist license (CPDH Certificate required for RTs in CA)
- Current certifications as applicable (verify with clinical track):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (if applicable)
- IV Certification (if applicable)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education Verification (degree/diploma/transcript as applicable)
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Immunizations and Health Requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety) for travel candidates, medically cleared annually
- Fit Mask test (N95 or equivalent), updated annually, required for travel candidates
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background)
Training & Competency Requirements
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
- Annual Regulatory Requirements
- Specialty Specific Modules (if applicable)
- Regional Core and Specialty Modules for California
- Competency exams as applicable by profession/specialty
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (if applicable)
- Color Blind Testing (if required by unit)
- Skills Checklist updated annually (if applicable)
Additional Notes
- Float Policy: May be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
- Background checks and verifications must be current and compliant with Providence Health and Services policies
- Candidates with pending licenses may be considered
- No prior travel experience required for this role
