Description
Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Nebraska
- Minimum of 4 years hospital-setting Cardiac Cath/IR experience, including recent experience within the last year
- Cath Lab Technologist experience totaling at least 3 years
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS
Job Details
- Department: Cath Lab Tech / IR Tech
- Number of labs/suites: 3
- Average cases per day: 4-5
- Common patient diagnoses: Compression fractures, venous access, hydronephrosis, chest pain, pulmonary hypertension, shortness of breath, gastric ulcer, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis
- Job duties: Intra-procedural circulating, supplies/medication administration, sedation
- EMR/Equipment: EPIC, Apollo cardiac charting
- Cardiologist hours/on-call: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday-Friday; on-call 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM weekdays and 7:30 AM - 7:30 AM weekends
- Supervisor present on each shift
- Scheduling: Supervisor approves schedule; 4 days/week, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Call requirements: Minimum 10 weeknight shifts, minimum 2 weekends (1 IR and 1 Cardiac), holiday call required
- Call response time: 30 minutes from primary campus, ASAP for other campuses
- Floating: Required daily and on-call as needed across three campuses
- Orientation: 1 week unit/department specific orientation including on-call buddy call
- Dress code: Surgical greens
- Radiation badge provided by client
Additional Information
- Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius and not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity)
- Fingernail policy: Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply may result in contract termination
- Call team covers three campuses after hours and weekends; most calls are emergent and require timely response
- Ready to onboard within 7 days of contract start (no additional time off approved)
