Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arkansas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Operating Room (OR) experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Job Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements
- Complete patient assessments and develop plans of care collaboratively with the surgical team
- Assess and document patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs
- Recognize potential problems and communicate findings to appropriate surgical team members
- Document nursing interventions, treatments, and patient responses accurately
- Document perioperative data appropriately
- Anticipate surgical team needs by assembling supplies according to surgeon preference cards
