Job Opportunity: RN Oncology (Travel)
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Oncology for a travel assignment.
Required Qualifications
- License: Current, active RN license in good standing for Kansas. Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association) required
- MOAB Moderate Risk Certification
- NIH Certification (updated every 2 years)
- Competencies & Testing:
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
- Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical specialty), completed within one year of start and updated annually
- Ascension Cerner Test-Out
- Health & Immunizations:
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions require mask wearing
- Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccines; no declinations accepted
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
- TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
- Fit Test: Annual respiratory fit test required
- 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
- Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Background & Verification:
- Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days of assignment start
- Employment Verification for past 7 years
- Education Verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
- Professional References: At least two qualifying references prior to first assignment
- Other Requirements:
- Driver’s License or State ID (valid, not expired, matching address requirements)
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
- Ascension Nova StatStrip training
- Ascension Color Vision test (updated every 3 years)
- Ascension 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment documentation
