Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab
Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each)
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
Call Requirements: One weekend per month and one day per week on call
Number of Openings: 1

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
Number of Labs: 4
Patient Ratio: 1 team member per 1 patient
Equipment: Merge Hemo system
EMR: Merge Hemo / Cerner (transitioning to Epic in June 2026)
Type of Patients: Cardiac patients

Required Qualifications

Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
Experience: Minimum 5 years of RN experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or related specialty
Skills:
- Experience with IABP, Impella, Laser, Shockwave devices
- Phillips panning experience
Preferred: Experience with Merge Hemo system

Additional Information

Float Requirements: None
Personality Fit: Team player, flexible, willing to take initiative, accountable, and timely
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; professional attire and scrub colors must meet CMS and organizational standards
Weekend Call: One weekend per month
