Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Discipline / Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical
Shift: 7 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Number of Openings: 1
Float Requirements: Will float depending on house staffing

Unit Information

Unit: 4 West
Number of Beds: 30
Patient Ratios: 6:1
EMR System: Cerner
Patient Population: Medical/surgical and post-op surgery patients

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years in Medical Surgical nursing (highest required years of experience)
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Skills/Experience:
- Must have experience in med/surg, ortho, and post-op care
- Preferred skills include time management and med/surg experience
Personality Fit: Friendly, compassionate, sense of urgency, able to handle challenging situations

Additional Information

Dress Code: Navy scrubs
Unacceptable Attire: Fake nails, gel nails, dip nails, long nails, ear pods

No call requirements.
Floating may be required based on staffing needs.
