Job Description

• Perform thorough, systematic, and accurate patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care in support of patient care delivery and team collaboration.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, including patient education.
• Demonstrate professional responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures, identifying areas for clinical and professional growth.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism, courtesy, and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification using two identifiers.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
• Apply knowledge of surgical patient conditions, procedures, and equipment; individualize care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
• Take responsibility for prioritizing and directing patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments, including evaluating Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
