Job Opportunity: Charge Nurse - Days (RN)
Location: Bangor, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Charge Nurse assists the Director in achieving organizational and department goals. This role provides leadership and support as a Charge Nurse, quality management coordinator, and resource for the unit. Responsibilities include coordinating and directing total nursing care for assigned residents/patients, assuming full responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. The Charge Nurse also participates in patient/resident and family teaching and collaborates with ancillary nursing and other team members according to established policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (2-year college)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years nursing experience
- License: Active RN license in the State of Maine or Compact RN license
- Certification: BLS required
Additional Information
- Traveler must reside 50+ miles from the facility
- Facility may cancel or call off up to three shifts during the 13-week assignment
- Prior travel experience is not required
