Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
- Prior travel experience not required (unit accepts first-time travelers depending on experience)

- Scrub
- Balloon Angioplasty
- PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
- Stents
- Thrombectomy
- Impella insertion
- Left and Right heart catheterization
- Obtaining vitals
- Rhythm interpretation
- Inpatient care
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Provider only
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) accepted

Job Details
- Average daily caseload: 4 cases
- Number of rooms: 1
- Shift: 8-hour day shift (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Call requirement: Yes

Unit Details
- Elective and emergent PCI
- Pacemaker and ICD implants
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump), Impella, STEMI patients
- Monitoring experience is a plus

Background & Compliance Requirements
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including:
- Social Security verification
- National sex offender registry
- National criminal search
- FACIS L3
- Education verification
- State-specific criminal background checks (NH state police search instead of NH county searches)
- Motor vehicle background check (if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Education verification required (high school acceptable for CNAs)
- Drug screen: 10-panel within 14 days prior to start (with a 7-day grace period)
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Fit mask test (annual) required for clinical candidates (exceptions apply)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tdap (within last 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (True 2-Step PPD, Qgold, or Tspot within 1 year)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination waiver
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 - Apr 1) with medical or religious exemptions allowed
- Respiratory safety clearance required (RespSafety questionnaire)
Testing & Competencies
- Pass/fail Basic Dysrhythmia EKG exam required within 48 hours of contract signing for Southern New Hampshire hospitals (passing score 80%)
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required (for internal purposes)
- Competency exam required (for internal purposes)
Documentation & Other Requirements
- Two current professional references within last 3 years (one must be from a supervisor)
- Employment application required
- Skills checklist required
- Internal evaluation required annually for travelers with Aya or agency for 1+ year
- State-specific registry checks (NH BEAS State Registry) required for NH placements
- Facility-specific immunization and exemption forms may be required (flu, Hep B, Tdap)
- Photo for badge (passport style, jpeg)
- Proof of auto insurance if applicable (Home Health, Hospice Care)
