Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Home Health)
Location: Owings Mills, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Description
- Coverage for Baltimore County area
- Workdays: Thursday through Monday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Productivity expectation: 30 points per week
- Possible on-call requirement
- Weekend work generally not required; contractors typically work Monday through Friday
- Patient population: Geriatric patients
- Expected daily visit volume: Approximately 6 visits per day
- Local candidates are acceptable
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Home Health)
- Minimum 3 years of home care experience (higher end of 2-3 years stated)
- Experience with OASIS documentation
- Valid Maryland or compact RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Certifications & Compliance Requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense approved)
- May require ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC as applicable
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella as required
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
Background & Documentation Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check including SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
- Auto insurance documentation required
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
- Completion of employment application/resume and skills checklist as applicable
Additional Information
- Candidates may be asked to sign up for on-call shifts if needed
- Facility-specific COVID-19 exemption forms required for medical or religious exemptions
- Candidates must comply with facility mandates for mask-wearing if unvaccinated
