Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department

Location: Wilson, North Carolina

Position Overview

Specialty: Emergency Department (ED)
Facility Type: Hospital with 26 ED beds
Shift: Varies
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Patient Population: All ages (geriatric, adult, pediatric)
Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 (flexible depending on acuity)
EHR System: Meditech (experience preferred)
Equipment: GE Monitors, standard ED equipment

Required Qualifications

License: Registered Nurse (RN) license for North Carolina
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Additional Training: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training preferred

Job Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Float Requirements: Like assignment
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Respiratory distress, overdose, congestive heart failure (CHF), dialysis, hypertension (HTN)
Personality Fit: Team player, engaged, positive attitude

Additional Information

Orientation is bi-weekly
Local candidates must be 60 miles or greater to qualify for travel status
No prior travel experience explicitly required
