Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with on-call (shift may change during interview)
- Start Date: ASAP
- On-Call: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Locals Accepted: No (must be outside 50-mile radius)
- Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Must be included at time of submission
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience as a Registered Nurse in Cath Lab
- Prior travel experience required: Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- License: Valid Tennessee RN license or multistate RN license compliant with NLC
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only (required for Cath Lab)
- NIH Stroke Certification – Required for all RNs at this healthcare system (except at Children’s Hospital)
- Driver’s License: Must be included with submission
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including statewide, county, federal, education verification, sex offender search, and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
- Immunizations and health documents:
- TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually
- Proof of immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year of start (if applicable)
- Two recent professional references required
- Skills checklist and internal evaluations as applicable
Additional Notes
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
- Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no glasses glare, no hats/head coverings except for religious reasons)
- Facility is a Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs who have prior travel contract experience and are ready for a 13-week assignment in a Level I Trauma Center setting with weekday shifts and on-call responsibilities.
