Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Electrophysiology Lab (EP)

Location: Saginaw, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care for patients before, during, and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Perform pre-procedure assessments, pre-medication, documentation of catheterization process, post-procedure care, and patient education.
• Scrub in and assist during procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
• Operate cardiac equipment such as cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic devices, pacemakers/ICDs, and intraaortic balloon pumps.
• Transfer patients, stock supplies, and perform basic office procedures.
• Record all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Cath Lab experience required.
• Work history and skills checklist relevant to Electrophysiology (EP) specialty, current within 1 year.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrophysiology (EP) experience.
• Travel work experience.
• Epic EMR experience.

• Facility prefers candidates within a 50-mile radius for contracts up to 13 weeks.

Specialty Experience Requirement

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Electrophysiology nursing (based on supervisory references and skills checklist requirements).

Prior Travel Experience

• Travel experience is preferred but not required.

This position is ideal for RNs with Cath Lab and Electrophysiology experience seeking a temporary assignment in a well-equipped cardiac catheterization lab.
