Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- First Time Travelers Accepted
- Call-In Policy:
- If a traveler calls in for a contracted shift and is 0.9 FTE, they must make up the day during the pay period or the shift will be added at the end of the contract.
- If 1.2 FTE, call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract.
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, RQI acceptable
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, RQI acceptable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only, RQI acceptable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - AHA only
- Other certifications may be required depending on cost center/unit (e.g., CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
- Preferred skills: PACS, C-Arm, and Contrast
Equipment & Unit Information
- Equipment used: Siemens
- Unit includes: Liver center, Y 90, MAAS, AVS, DEBS, PTC, Drain Placements
Call Requirements
- On-call 1 day per week from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Required Documents & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks including:
- 7 years lived/worked history
- SSN Trace, County Criminal, Statewide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level III
- Education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Transcript/Diploma (official, clear copy)
- Education verification by 3rd party
- State License verification (within 30 days before start)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit Mask test within 12 months of start (specific respirators approved)
- Immunizations and health documents:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred but not required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required, no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required, no declinations accepted
- Flu vaccination/documentation required for flu season (9/30 - 3/31), no declinations accepted
- Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months
- Color Blind Exam (Ishihara or equivalent, 100% minimum score)
- References: Minimum 2 from recent employment with appropriate titles (charge, manager, supervisor, or above)
- Employment application with full work history and explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
- TB Questionnaire updated annually
Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (not required for Techs or RRTs)
- Unit competency exam required
- Color Blind Testing
Orientation & Facility Specific Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific forms and packets prior to start (e.g., Look of Assurance, Compliance Checklist, Confidentiality Agreement)
- Mandatory RRT modules for RRT candidates (22 modules, must be completed before orientation)
- Self-study orientation and tests required for certain facilities
- Fast Track Slide Packet and Signature Forms for specific facilities
