Description
Job Opportunity: Telemetry RN
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Description
- Medical cardiology unit
- Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM every other week (EOW)
- Experience with post-cardiac procedures and cardiac drips preferred
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Connecticut
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred
- Specialty experience: Telemetry nursing (RN Telemetry I)
- Years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1+ year in telemetry or cardiac nursing based on specialty level and preferences
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Required Certifications and Compliance
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- License verification dated within 30 days of start
- Fit test and respirator evaluation (physician-signed form required)
- Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing completed within the last year
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
- COVID-19 vaccine (including booster by Sept 2025) or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- MMR vaccination proof or IgG titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start (titers not accepted)
- Influenza vaccine or approved exemption/declination for current flu season
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA test for TB; chest x-ray if positive (per state requirements)
- Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer
- Physical/health statement within the last year confirming fitness to work
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
Professional and Background Requirements
- Signed Trinity Code of Conduct form
- Completed Trinity I9 form
- Confidentiality and system security agreement signed
- Integrity and audit services form signed shortly before start
- Conflict of interest disclosure form signed
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years) dated within 30 days of start
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days
- OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days
- Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start
- OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check within 30 days
Additional Notes
- Resume, skills checklist within the last year, and two professional references required for submission
- Specialty competency testing and skills checklist must be current and provided by the agency
- No prior travel experience required for this assignment
This position is ideal for an experienced Telemetry RN comfortable with cardiac patient care during night shifts on a medical cardiology unit.
