Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures.
- Preferably experienced in one or more of the following modalities: General Radiology, Angio/Cath Lab, Computed Tomography (CT).
- Experience working in an acute care hospital setting.
- Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist performing general diagnostic imaging and at least one of the following: Angio/Cath Lab, CT, or MRI.
Shift Details
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (4x10s).
- Weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
- One variable shift during the week (11:30 AM - 9:00 PM or 4:30 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Rotating on-call duties and variable weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure/Certification (one of the following):
- ARRT - Radiography (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- ARMRIT - Certified MRI Technologist
- CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification (must be current within 30 days of hire).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Radiologic Technology.
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, education verification, and other regulatory screenings.
- Annual updates required for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS Level 3 screenings.
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (specific mask types required).
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (annual renewal required)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually.
- Color blindness exam (in-person) prior to start.
Additional Requirements
- Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps over 30 days.
- Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually.
- Professional references required (2 for clinical/allied acute care).
- Completion of facility-specific documents and trainings prior to start, including:
- Job description review/signature
- Standards of business conduct
- Regulatory orientation
- Vendor training and code of conduct (2024 and 2025 versions)
- TB questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Conditional offer of employment attestation
- Religious accommodation forms if applicable
