Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Eureka, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in Cath Lab performing procedures related to Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Vascular Disease, and Cardiac Arrhythmias.
- Procedures include coronary and peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemaker placements.
- Daily caseload: 8-12 cases.
- Call required; no weekend or floating requirements.
- Orientation: 30 hours.
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Locals accepted.
- Facility allows block scheduling consideration.
- Pending state Fluoro permits accepted if already applied for at submission.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Cath Lab Tech / Radiology / Cardiology).
- Certifications:
- ARRT (Note: RCIS not accepted)
- Fluoroscopy Permit
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Licensure: Must have appropriate state license for Radiology / Cath Lab Tech role. Pending Fluoro permits considered if application is in process.
- Call Requirement: Yes.
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually.
- Drug screen: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- Fit mask testing required (N95 or equivalent), updated annually.
Training & Competency
- Completion of facility-specific and regional WorkRamp modules annually, including:
- Regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific training for Cath Lab / Radiology roles
- Epic training modules required and must be completed within a week of orientation.
- Medication and competency exams as applicable.
References & Employment History
- Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years required.
Additional Notes
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
- Float policy acknowledgment may be required (ability to float to nearby Providence facilities).
- Pending state licenses and permits considered with proof of application.
