Description
Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST/ORT)
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Days, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
An integral member of the surgical team who supports surgeons throughout operations by preparing, providing, and caring for instruments and equipment while maintaining a sterile field.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technician with at least 1 year of experience
- Surgical Technician experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Information
- No weekend requirement
- No blocked scheduling
- On-call is optional (can pick up call if desired, but not required)
- Must float as needed within Surgical Services
- Physical demands include heavy physical effort requiring standing, walking, or lifting most of the day
- Work environment includes potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous chemicals; protective equipment provided and required

- This is a temporary assignment covering maternity leave starting early May
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
