Description
Job Opportunity: Diagnostic Radiology Technologist
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Employment Type: Traveler - Backfill
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform fluoroscopy and diagnostic X-rays on inpatients and Emergency Department (ED) patients.
- Conduct portable X-rays on patient floors.
- Assist with C-Arm procedures in the Operating Room (OR).
- Use radiology equipment including Rad rooms, portable X-Ray machines, C-Arms, R/F, IT equipment, McKesson PACS, Centricity RIS, and EPIC EMR.
- Float between Emergency Department and Diagnostic Radiology departments.
- Responsible for approximately 20-25 patients per shift in the ED with no support staff except on floors.
- Dress code: Scrubs (any solid color) plus hospital scrubs provided for surgery.
- Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and departmental on-the-job training.
- Must be a self-starter with good team skills and adaptability to changing situations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology, with Trauma experience preferred.
- Trauma Level I experience required.
- Experience with OR procedures required.
- Certifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Valid Nebraska Radiology license.
Schedule & Other Details
- Shift and call schedule to be discussed during the interview.
- Floating between units required (ED and Diagnostic Radiology).
Additional Skills Preferred
- Proficiency in trauma imaging and portable X-rays.
- Some fluoroscopy experience is beneficial.
- Experience with C-Arm procedures.
