Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Seaside, Oregon
Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
Contract Length: 26 weeks

- Facility type: Critical Access Hospital (25 beds, Trauma Level 4 ED, ICU & Med/Surg)

Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of specialty experience preferred
- First-time travelers considered
Required Certifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Ventilator management experience (Draeger and Hamilton ventilators)
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work as the solo Respiratory Therapist on shift in a critical access hospital setting
- Experience in Trauma Level 4 Emergency Department, ICU, and Med/Surg units
- Ability to manage ventilators independently
Prior Travel Experience
- Prior travel experience is not required (first-time travelers considered)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug screen (10 panel) within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator fit testing (annual) required for travel candidates
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Must complete Providence Health and Services float policy acknowledgment (may be required to float to other Providence facilities nearby)
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and regional) prior to start and annually thereafter
- Epic charting system training and transcript required
- Passport-style badge photo required
- Compliance with Oregon and Washington state-specific background and license verifications as applicable
Additional Notes
- No on-call or block scheduling required
- Weekend work approximately every other weekend
- Critical access hospital setting with solo RT responsibility on shift
- Must be comfortable working in a small hospital environment with trauma and ICU patients
