Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Seneca, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Weekend shifts: Saturday, Sunday, Monday
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Monday: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
- Call required; rotation with 3-4 other techs
Job Requirements
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (MRI Tech)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the field
- At least 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system
- Required Certifications:
- ARRT MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Magnetic Resonance)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Scrubs color: Hunter Green
Job Responsibilities & Policies
- Floating Policy: Must be willing to float to other units or campuses within the health system as needed, only to units where qualified and competencies are documented.
- Medication System used: Omnicell
- Documentation System: EPIC
Compliance & Credentialing Requirements
Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT MR and BLS certifications required (AHA and ARC accepted; RQI acceptable)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, CPI, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification, and others may be required depending on unit (check unit-specific requirements)
- State License: Primary source verification required; license must be current and valid for South Carolina
- NURSYS verification required for all licenses
- IV Certification required for LPN/LVN candidates (if applicable)
- Tech Certification (National) must be current and verified within 30 days of start
Background Checks & Screenings
- 7-year background check within 12 months of start date required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- Fingerprinting may be required depending on prior residency and role
- Drug screening: 5-panel drug screen within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Education verification: Highest level of education must be verified; diplomas not accepted as placeholders
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
- Negative TB test (True 2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot) within 90 days of start
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption required (not required for 100% remote workers)
Competency & Training Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required annually
- Core Parts I, II, and III training and exams required annually (including OSHA, patient safety, ethics, etc.)
- Color Blindness testing required for certain roles (e.g., Emergency Department)
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for applicable roles (not for prebook or non-clinical)
- Online Cornerstone Modules must be completed within 72 hours of assignment
Facility Specific Requirements
- Badge photo required prior to start (passport style, specific background and no alterations)
- Contractor Acknowledgment and Floating Policy documents must be signed and uploaded annually
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA and OSHA training) required annually

Summary
