Description
Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Easley, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift & Work Details
- Shift: Days, 5x8 hour shifts (07:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
- Floating required: Must float to other Prisma Health units/campuses as needed, only to units where qualified and competent
- Medication System: Omnicell
- Documentation System: EPIC (minimum 1 year experience required)
- Scrubs: Hunter Green
Required Certifications
- ARRT (Nuclear Medicine)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only, cannot expire within 30 days of start
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (check unit description):
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Lactation Certificate (for Women’s RN candidates)
- IV Certification (for LPN/LVN)
- State License: Primary source verification required, must be valid and not expire within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification for all licenses
- Tech Cert Verification (National) as applicable
Compliance & Testing Requirements
- Background Check: 7-year check within 12 months of start, including alias and multi-state searches
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- Drug Testing: 5-panel drug screen within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Physical Exam: Physician’s statement within 1 year of start, verifying ability to meet physical demands
- Immunizations & Health Documents:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Flu Vaccine or approved exemption required (not required for 100% remote)
- Fit Mask/Fit Test: Respirator fit test completed onsite during orientation for clinical staff
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with specific background and quality requirements
Orientation & Training
- Online Cornerstone Modules: Approximately 12 hours, must be completed within 72 hours of assignment
- Pass/Fail Testing: Medication and Arrhythmia tests required for RN candidates; EKG exam required for Electrophysiology and Monitor Techs
- Annual Competency Exams and Core Training (Parts I, II, III) required with minimum passing scores
- HIPAA and OSHA training required annually
Additional Notes
- Floating Policy: Must be signed and adhered to; floating only to qualified units
- Documentation must be verifiable with clinic/facility info, DOB or last 4 of SSN where applicable
- Some certifications and trainings may have associated costs and require registration through facility-specific forms
- Candidates must carry a valid driver’s license for computer access setup and while on duty
This position requires a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Tech with solid experience, appropriate certifications, and the flexibility to float within the health system. Compliance with extensive background checks, immunizations, and training is mandatory.
