Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist (Travel)
Location: Florence, South Carolina
Specialty: Radiology Technician
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Knowledgeable in radiography terminology, anatomy, and pathology.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a pleasant bedside manner.
- Provides clear instructions and fosters patient comfort and confidence.
- Prepares equipment and exam rooms for patient exams.
- Positions, monitors, and ensures patient safety during exams.
- Documents information and reports important findings to physicians.
- Produces diagnostic images of soft tissues and uses sound waves for imaging organs and tissues.
- Administers targeted doses of radiation as ordered by physicians.
- Administers trace amounts of radiopharmaceuticals for functional imaging.
- Measures bone mineral density at specific anatomical sites.
- Handles paperwork and maintains confidentiality.
- Keeps work area neat and assists other department personnel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Radiologic Technologist license appropriate for South Carolina.
- Certifications:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or NMTCB certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred but optional.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience required in Radiology Technician specialty.
- Immunizations and Health Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination (fully vaccinated preferred).
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunization or titer proof required.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or titer proof required.
- Influenza vaccine required seasonally (Sept-April), with exemptions considered case-by-case.
- Varicella immunization or titer proof required.
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) tuberculosis test required.
- Annual TB questionnaire and related testing as applicable.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
- Social Security Card.
- Criminal background check including multiple federal and state databases.
- 10 panel drug screening (no rapid screens).
- Employment verification for the past 5 years.
- Skills checklist and confirmation of assignment documentation required prior to start.
